Numbers

Just like how the women in the play united for a common cause so did the men. They all came together even though they were enemies and made peace for the sake of sex. Lol. This goes to show that there is power in numbers.

Idiots?

The play portrays men as bumbling idiots that know nothing else but sex and war. We can see this when Kinesias was talking to his wife and he mentioned his son. Without his wife there he could not take care of himself or his son. the son had not taken a bath in over a week

Horny?

The men in lysistarta must have been a horny bunch of people who have no self control. When I read it there was no indication of that much time passing so why are the men want sex so much. Or is it that they have no self control.

Brain Vs Braun Pt 2

this is part two of the brain vs braun blog. the play probably wants to draw out the fact that strength does not always work, but sometimes you have to use your brain in some situations.

this is part two of the brain vs braun blog. the play propably wants to draw out the fact that strenght does not always work, but sometimes you have to use your brain in some situations.

Brain vs Braun

in the play there is the battle of brain ovet braun. the women use their brain which we can see when they used water to oust the fire the men brought. the men tried to use their strength beat there the women.

Cheap shot

the way the women enticed the men was a cheap but effective shot. they wore skimpy outfits and seduced the men by promising immediate sex then do nothing. we can see this with Myrthine and her husband
i dont think that abstinence led to the ending of the war, but the want of sex. the women all wanted to have sex and we all know the men surely wanted to but only the women held out. the men wanted to have sex so bad that they would have done anything (in this case end the war) to have sex.

Power

i thought that it was funny that at first Kleonike was very reluctant go go through with lysistrata's plan, and then she became one of the leaders of this cause. she probably does this because she sees she is loosing her control over all the other women to Lysistrata

Nature

Lysistrata is a strong willed woman. she is the type of woman, women try to be like. she has a bold nature which she uses to lead all the other women in their struggle for peace.

Reaction

My initial reaction to that of Lysistrata was one of surprise. i was shocked that we were reading a book with this much sexual innuendos and content. Many may think that this book is too inappropriate to be read in schools, but i guess this shows how we are evolving as a society
